In Colruyt IT we have set up a collection of shared and centrally managed and supported Azure based services that can be used by Solution Teams to build their respective solutions.
As a System Engineer Cloud you play a pivotal role in supporting, maintaining, further improving and extending this set of services. Our policies dictate that we do our Cloud Engineering work through Infrastructure as code or Configuration as code, using the Bicep language.
Our own internal Azure platform team is still quite inexperienced. We hope that with your external experience and DevOps skills you can bring the team to a higher level. So part of your job will be to develop best practices and to mentor and coach our internal team members.
What will you do concretely?
- Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Design and implement infrastructure using Bicep and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Automate and script tasks with PowerShell and Azure CLI.
- Work with Azure Verified Modules (AVM).
- DevOps & Development Practices
- Manage version control with Git.
- Apply DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, including setting up YAML pipelines.
- Foundation & Core Infrastructure
- Implement and manage Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
- Deploy Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.
- Manage networking and connectivity on Azure.
- Configure hybrid networking and DNS.
- Enterprise Architecture & Governance
- Work with Enterprise Scale and Landing Zones.
- Implement governance and Azure Policies.
- Apply the Azure Well Architected Framework.
- Security
- Manage cloud security and Entra ID.
- Implement hybrid identity solutions.
- Apply DevSecOps practices.
- Data & Database Services
- Manage database services, including Azure SQL, Azure Data Explorer, and Cosmos DB.
- Implement data integration services, such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Logic Apps.
- Operations & Monitoring
- Monitor, alert, diagnose, and analyze using Azure Monitor.
- Implement the Azure Baseline Monitoring Framework.
Work location is Haasrode, Zwijnaarde or Halle in Belgium (3 days telework per week is possible).
Profil
- Knowledge and experience - You have a bachelor's or master's degree and you have at least 5 years working experience with Azure in general and DevOps practices in particular. You are also Azure certified (at least AZ-104 and AZ-400).
- Structured - You are organised and are able to plan your own work well.
- Expertise - You take on a mentoring role for juniors. You share your expertise and aim to bring the organization to the next level together.
- Critical and solution-oriented - You think critically and quickly see what can be improved or where quality should be increased. You combine this with a focus on solutions. In other words, a problem will not stop you.
- Languages - You communicate fluently in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
